We like challenges

Metadata can be really difficult, and sometimes we’re challenged by song titles like “ΔMi−1 = −αΣn=1NDi[n][Σj∈C{i}Fji[n − 1] + Fexti[[n−1]]” by Aphex Twin.

Screen shot

Someone who understands this is Paul Lamere of Sun Labs. Read more about how metadata is handled by music services in his recent blog post. Thanks, Paul, for an interesting analysis!

Werewolves in Gothenburg

Werewolf attack

Remarkable things have been happening in our Gothenburg office this week.
Ludde and Mattias have been collaborating on a new client code base.

No werewolves were injured or killed during the programming sessions.

Spam in Spotify?

I’ve got a collaborative playlist in Spotify called “magnus’ inbox”, so that people I know can add music they think I should listen to (a great feature, by the way!). Today I discovered something strange while looking at its contents:

Spotify spam

I’ve been spammed! :) So, what’s your favorite song about cheap medication, OEM software or get-rich-fast schemes?
